Instant Insights

You can query all your data with Sorcero's Instant Insights Engine. Use your own custom prompt or select a saved prompt from the drop-down. The available saved prompts are dependent on your project's configuration.

Using Instant Insights Engine

Instant Insights Engine (IIE) lets you ask a question in plain language and get an answer built from the records in your project, along with the records behind it.

Where to find it

Location

What it answers from

Instant Insights page

Every record in the project

Crystal ball icon on a Collection details page

Only the records in that Collection

Crystal ball icon on a Stakeholder details page

Only that stakeholder's records

On Collections and Stakeholder pages, the lightning bolt icon next to the crystal ball is the Insight Generator. It writes a summary for you. The crystal ball answers your own question.

Asking a question

  1. Go to the Instant Insights page, or click the crystal ball icon on a Collection or Stakeholder details page.
  2. Type your question into the query box and submit it. You can also click Select a Saved Prompt and then submit a saved prompt. Note: Saved prompts are pre-configured in your Sorcero project.
  3. Wait for the response. Bouncing ellipses appear while IIE works.

Reading the response

The answer appears at the top in the response box, formatted with headings, bullets, and tables as needed. Factual statements are cited to their source.

For the Insight Insights page only:

The Data Retrieval Summary sits below the answer. Use it to check what the answer was built from before you rely on it. It shows:

  • The total number of records reviewed
  • View All, which opens the Records sidebar with every record returned
  • Categories that group the returned records. Click Show All if a category lists more than three values.

Click a category to open the Records sidebar filtered to just those records.

Instant Insights Page: Working with Records in the Sidebar

Clicking View All or any category opens the Records sidebar beside the answer, so you can read the response and review records at the same time.

To act on records:

  1. Select records using the checkbox at the top of the page, or click Select All for the full set.
  2. Choose an action:
    • Export to .xlsx or .csv
    • Add to a Collection
    • Add to an Insight
    • Add a Label

Each record shows:

  • Data source and record date
  • Stakeholder name and country
  • Record content, with the option to show or hide annotation
  • Show Attributes to expand the record's attributes
  • Copy to Clipboard
  • View Record to open the full record details page

Writing a Good Question

Use this structure:

[Action] + [Topic] + [Who, where, when] + [Output format]

Example: "Summarize vivafilerud efficacy data in HER2+ breast cancer patients from US oncologists in 2026 as a table."

You can filter inside the question itself by naming:

  • Who: stakeholder name, specialty, stakeholder type, KOL tier
  • Where: country, region, or state
  • When: a date range, quarter, or "since 2024"
  • What: therapeutic area, disease state, or product
  • Source: interaction type, such as medical inquiry or publication abstract

Use standard values. "United States" works better than "US."

Instead of

Ask

"Cancer drug info"

"Summarize vivafilerud efficacy data in HER2+ breast cancer patients from Phase III trials"

"Side effects of drug"

"List Grade 3-4 adverse events for vivafilerud monotherapy in melanoma trials"

"What are European doctors saying?"

"Summarize opinions from oncologists in Europe discussing vivafilerud in publications from the last 12 months"

Tips

  • Use the same terminology your records use.
  • Split a large question into several focused ones.
  • Number the parts of a multi-part question.
  • Ask for the format you want, such as a table or bulleted list.
  • Skip subjective terms like "best" or "significant" unless you define them.

When you ask from inside a Collection or Stakeholder page, the scope is already set. You do not need to include scope-limiting wording.

What to expect from answers

  • Answers come only from your records. IIE does not add outside knowledge.
  • If your records do not cover part of your question, the answer says so.
  • Answers are not reliable for counting. Verify any number with your own record search.
  • If a question is blocked for compliance reasons, you will see an explanation and can rephrase.

Troubleshooting

Problem

What to do

"No information found"

Broaden the question, remove a filter, or try different wording

Results look irrelevant

Add specifics: product, specialty, region, date range

Expected records are missing

Try terminology closer to the language in your records

A count looks wrong

Confirm it with a filtered search on the Records tab

Answer is too general

Break the question into smaller ones and ask each separately
