Getting Started: Working a Congress with Sorcero

Congress abstracts, the records your team captures on site, and your existing stakeholder history all land in the same project, so you can plan before the event, capture during it, and answer questions across the whole thing afterward.

Congress content is available only for congresses your organization has arranged to load. If you do not see a congress, check with your admin.

Before the congress

  1. Go to Reports or Records and filter to the congress content for your therapeutic area.
  2. Narrow further using drill-down or filters. Useful filters include topic, product or competitor product name, mechanism of action, and endpoint.
  3. Add the abstracts worth tracking to a Collection, so your list survives the week.
  4. Open the Collection and click the crystal ball icon to ask a scoped question, for example: "Which of these abstracts relate to first-line treatment sequencing, and which report new efficacy data?"
  5. For a stakeholder who is presenting, open their page and click the crystal ball icon to ask what their prior interactions suggest about topics to raise.

Each abstract shows a summary rather than the full text, with a link to the published abstract. Open the link when you need the full detail or plan to quote anything.

During the congress

The Sorcero Capture app lets field personnel create records on an iPhone or iPad instead of waiting to get back to a workstation.

  1. Install Sorcero Capture from the App Store. Searching for "Sorcero Capture" finds it faster than searching for "Sorcero."
  2. Sign in with your Sorcero credentials. Access has to be enabled for your organization first, so if you see an error at sign-in, contact your admin.
  3. Create a record after each session or conversation. You can view and edit records in the app as well.
  4. Keep working if you lose signal. The app syncs when the connection returns.

Records created in the app are enriched the same way as everything else in the project, so they turn up in filters and in answers alongside abstracts and prior interactions.

After the congress

After congress synthesis:

Prior, during, or after a congress, your customer admin can create a report scoped to congress activities on the Strategy page. You can ask a single question across all three phases — what did we expect, what did we hear, what does it mean for strategy?

The platform will review relevant records and create a report for pre-congress planning, the field captures, the post-congress synthesis.

Other ways to view and synthesized post-congress information:

  1. Go to Records and filter to the congress to see abstracts and captured records together.
  2. Select the records you want, then choose an action: export to .xlsx or .csv, add to a Collection, add to an Insight, or add a Label.
  3. Open Strategy to see whether new congress records changed the picture on any Key Insight Question. The What's New column is the fastest read on movement.
  4. For a written synthesis, open a Collection of congress records and use the lightning bolt icon to generate a summary, or the crystal ball icon to ask a specific question.

Other congress material your organization arranges to load, such as presentations from registered attendees, meeting notes, or social content, arrives in the same set and can be filtered the same way.

Asking better congress questions

When you ask from inside a Collection or a Stakeholder page, the scope is already set, so spend the words on specifics instead.

Instead of

Ask

"What happened at the congress?"

"Summarize the reported efficacy findings in second-line disease across these abstracts, grouped by mechanism of action"

"What did KOLs say?"

"What questions did stakeholders raise about dosing in the records our team captured, and how often did each come up?"

"Anything competitive?"

"Which abstracts report head-to-head or comparative data, and what did they find?"

Use the terminology the records use, and ask one thing at a time.

What to expect

  • Abstracts are shown as summaries with a link to the source. Read the source before quoting or citing anything.
  • Content loads on a schedule your organization arranges. Same-day material may not be there the same day.
  • Captured records join the project once they sync. A device that has been offline holds its records until it reconnects.
  • Answers come only from records in your project, so anything not loaded is not considered.
